PTSD is the leading cause of burnout for many professionals including first responders, child protection workers and medical professionals. We understand that PTSD can have a dramatic impact on the lives of those who are struggling and provide individualized therapeutic treatment to each resident.


Anxiety is the leading cause of mental health distress in Canada. When we are faced with stressors outside of our coping abilities, the symptoms of anxiety can be very intrusive in our lives. At Victoria Wellness, we offer a holistic approach to anxiety, treating both the mind and body through Dialectical and Somatic therapies.

Panic Disorder

The Devastating nature of panic attacks and disorders may lead to harmful coping mechanisms including substance misuse. We take a gentle, holistic approach to treat panic, using both Emotion Freedom techniques and Somatic Polyvagal therapies to soothe the body.


Depression is one of the leading causes of employment and relationship disruption. There can be many casual factors rooted in depressive symptoms. At Victoria Wellness, we approach treatment using a person centred, strength based approach–often incorporating holistic and traditional treatment modalities.

Child Sexual Abuse/
Sexual Assault

Sexual violence can lead to a variety of mental health and addiction symptoms. Our clinicians have considerable expertise in the area of treating sexual violence, for both men and women. Victoria Wellness is a trauma-informed setting, where clients are able to feel safe in their healing process.


Addiction can come in many forms. Our clients come to us with any range of addiction challenges, including alcoholism, misuse of prescriptions, drug abuse, gambling or pornography addiction, or an unhealthy relationship with food or sex.

Trauma-Emotional and physical

Trauma is an emotional response to a drastic event such as an accident, sexual abuse or a natural disaster. Following shock and denial, unpredictable emotions and flashbacks, and physical symptoms, such as headaches and nausea may occur. Working with a therapist can be an excellent way to overcome debilitating Traumas.


Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something that is important in your life such as a relationship, job, or person. Through Grief you may encounter sadness, anger, pain, regret or loneliness. Working with an expert can be very helpful, and aid with long-term relief.

Eating Disorders

There are three main types of Eating Disorders: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge-Eating Disorder. Following consultation, our staff create a personalized recovery program that helps treat the root of your eating disorder, establishing a healthier relationship with your body and food.
